Born & raised in Northern California & Detroit,Michigan as her second home(for the last seven year),Emerald developed a deep love for HIP-HOP music at the early age of seven.The group that she's always looks up to & she states that they really made her want to do music is non other then the best female group of her time TLC.
Other influences where artist such as Queen Latifah,MC Lyte,Salt & Pepa,Da Brat & Lauryn Hill.

when she was a member of the female duo group.

:The Groups History:

The group has been through six members and possibly four names for the group. Before P.L.U.T.O was developed the group was first called Black Ice consisting of eight people, two young men and four ladies in 1999. By 2000 the males quit because of decisions between fame and a normal life. By early 2000 it was an all girl group by the name of G.T.O. Girls Taking Ova. One of the ladies was having family problems and was dropped from the group which left three. Two of the members were having ideas of changing the name and other things about the groups style that the third member didn't not agree upon such as changing the group name from Flav'uh(which developed later in the year 2001) to P.L.U.T.O Do to too many disagreements about the group the third member was dropped which only left two in the year 2002.The ladies went off looking for a third member that shared the same dream as they did and could sing the hooks in late 2002-2003 They were not Successful. Now the wonderful group by the name of P.L.U.T.O. consists of two beautiful young women by the name of Shay who is the lead emcee of the group.Shay goes by the stage name Shay Baby a.k.a Miz Toxic if u nasty, the following names were given to her by neighborhood friends because of her seductive style.
And Last but not least the artist of the group Emerald who goes by E-Luv which was given to her because of her sweet personality and her fulfilling ways to give what is needed to the entertainment world.Emerald is also an emcee of the group and is literately an artist of the group.

P.L.U.T.O has attended talent shows at Weston Technical Academy,Allen Academy & Club MED all located in Detroit Michigan where they received standing notations and anchors.
They have recorded a demo at fairlanes The Booth where artist can go and record albums for a small fee. P.L.U.T.O has even associated with Michael Wynnins that has done work for the whininess family, New Edition, and 112 he is also associated with Sean P.Diddy Combs and many more. They e are also associated with Raven T of the old school hip hop group The DisMasters.The DisMasters made the number one hit We Are The Ones in 1986 with the label Urban Rock Records.

P.L.U.T.O Is not believe to be your average girl group but better because,they understand what sales and what people want to hear, and not only that they have a great ear for music,with that combined they will strike gold "said Raven T of the DisMasters.

Well everything didn't work the way that is should have,the two members keep there friendship but ended the group.So with the failure of the group and with the dismantle Emerald went solo in 2007.

With that said Emerald got her flows together and got herself a manager that saw nothing but the utmost potential in her and who could help her change the state that HIP-HOP music is in.
Refusing to be another female overcompensating for lack of skills by becoming a sex object.An can bring it better than some male rappers and her use of metaphors and clever wordplay is testament of that,she has years of experience on the mic.

She then linked up with a female Hip-Hop Movement,that go's but the name of The"Hip-Hop Sisters".
They've been around officially since 2006 and was Founded by no other then MC LYTE.

Hip Hop Sisters is a movement of women who would like to change the face of Hip Hop and the way that women are perceived in society today. We strive to bring the essence of Hip Hop back to its originality. There are too many negative images about women in Hip Hop, and it is affecting the younger generation. We need to show the world that a woman can achieve greatness, without selling our souls to the negativity that is put out there to destroy our culture. So in short, our mission is to promote mental growth, understanding, instilling self awareness in our sisters and using the Art of Hip Hop to help the youth find their voice.
