wishing for an angel-a poem by paul grimwood I am not alone,still i feel cold.theres someone here,but no one to hold In the heart of the night,my dreams sail.to a land far away,where the moon tells a tale. Theres a lady who i would always protect.where love and roses replace any neglect. I would lay my life down,just to make her mine.She has beauty and grace like stardust so fine. Wishing for an angel, i am wishing for you .Fireflies dance where teardrops fell. Wishing for an angel,in a sky of blue.you could lead me to heaven,away from this hell In a forest of memories,there are no golden leaves.They were taken by promises,taken by thieves But i would make those trees come alive again,and bring you sunshine after the rain. You are the lady i would always protect.Bring love and roses and a world of respect. I would lay my life down,just to make you mine.Hold you forever in a love so divine. Wishing for an angel,I am wishing for you.fireflies dance where teardrops fell. Wishing for an angel,in a sky of blue.you could lead me to heaven,away from this hell. If heartaches were wrapped,in teardrops that fell.I would gently place them in a wishing well. They would turn into rainbow lights,Where your pretty eyes could see them on starry nights.
