PMS BUZZ RATING: 2 OF 5
Headline: Bureaucratic Nightmares
Formed mid 2006, by SYNTHI Melinda Rann keyboards out of the ashes of local Isle Of Wight Prog rock band 'Naga' along with band member Dave Bull vocals and keyboard. By autumn Mr. Bull was replaced by Phaedra Kelly on vocals. The new duo completed the debut album 'Misplaced Technology' by the end of that month. First intened to be an electronic progressive rock album. The album was very well recived locally but scoffed from outside the Isle Of Wight. Nietherless the two worked on a second 'Encodenspace' which came out March the following year. This was a much more thought out work, more darker and sexier than the predicessor with some songs becoming more of narritives of monsters and demons and phycotic Taxidermist. Sadly this too fell the same misunderstood way as the former and sold very poorly. When summer 2007 came around the duo was accompenied by a guitarist known as Chris Cook and from then on started gigging and concerntrating building awhereness of the band. It wasn't until late Autumn that SYNTHI first met another Vetnor musician named 'SENDY' that work on new music and a new direction had begun. EMW was transformed from a neive electro band to something frighteningly dark and hard hitting.
